Finally Read a Full Tarot Spread (Without the Guidebook)
Go from looking up card definitions mid-reading to reading any spread, card to card, as a connected story. In four weeks, you will read for anyone, accurately, without freezing or reaching for a book (even if you feel overwhelmed right now).

Is This You?
You're familiar with all 78 cards. You do daily pulls. You can sit down with a Celtic Cross and muddle your way through it.
But somewhere between knowing the cards and actually reading them, something stalls.
You pull a spread, reach for the guidebook, and go card by card, hunting for what fits. By the end, you have a row of definitions and no idea how to connect them into something that means something.
You want to read for people outside your close circle, maybe even charge for it. But when you sit down to practice, the cards go quiet.
You know what the Seven of Cups means. You just cannot figure out what it is saying right now, in this spread, next to these other cards.
What you need is a system for reading the cards together.
You can know all the card meanings
and still not know how to read a spread.
Tarot is a two-way conversation. Most people only learn half of it.
Every card in your spread carries far more than its basic meaning. There is the number, the suit, the element, and the position. But also the image itself. The colors. The figures and what they are doing. Whether they are facing toward the other cards or away. The symbolism in the background.
When you know the symbolic language of the cards, you stop scanning your memory for keywords and start reading what is actually in front of you.
After this course, you will know what you are looking at when you lay out a spread. What the numbers tell you. How the elements interact.
You will read the whole picture.
Your readings will stop feeling mechanical.
Your intuition will have room to work.
The real story comes through.
With Theresa as Your Teacher, You'll:
Read a full spread without reaching for a guidebook. You'll know how to move from card to card and build a connected reading on your own.
Stop going blank when the cards don't make obvious sense. You'll have a method for finding meaning in any combination, even the ones that seem to contradict each other.
Know what the numbers in your spread are telling you. You'll be able to read the shape of a reading at a glance, before you interpret a single card.
Understand why two identical spreads can mean completely different things. You'll learn to read the energy between cards, not just the cards themselves.
Work with reversals without dreading them. You'll have multiple techniques for reading a reversed card and will know which one fits.
Read for people outside your close circle with more confidence. You'll have the skills to sit down with a stranger and deliver a reading that holds up.
Use your intuition more, not less. The techniques in this course clear the path for it. You'll stop second-guessing what you feel and start trusting what you see.
Walk away with a repeatable system for reading any spread. You'll know exactly where to look, what to look for, and how to put it together.
What You'll Learn Each Week

Week 1: Reading Progressions and Card Interactions
Tuesday, September 8 • 5:00 PM PDT Tuesday, September 8 • 6:00 PM MDT Tuesday, September 8 • 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday, September 8 • 8:00 PM EDTHow a spread moves, and what that movement tells you.
You'll learn how to:
- Spot number sequences in a spread so you can tell whether a situation is moving forward or heading backward
- Read court cards as a progression so you can figure out what stage a situation has reached
- Identify how figures in a card are interacting so you can pull meaning from the image, not just the keyword
- Read cards as a connected sequence from left to right so you can tell a story instead of listing definitions
Week 2: Reading the Numbers
Tuesday, September 15 • 5:00 PM PDT Tuesday, September 15 • 6:00 PM MDT Tuesday, September 15 • 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday, September 15 • 8:00 PM EDTWhat every number in the deck is telling you, and how to use that when you go blank.
You'll learn how to:
- Assign a core meaning to each number from one to ten so you can read any Minor Arcana card without a guidebook
- Combine the number and the suit so you can build an interpretation from scratch when a meaning does not come
- Spot repeating numbers in a spread so you can identify the dominant theme of a reading at a glance
- Apply number meanings to the Major Arcana so you can see connections across the full deck
- Use number patterns in a Celtic Cross so you can read the shape of the whole spread before you interpret a single card
Week 3: Working with Reversals
Tuesday, September 22 • 5:00 PM PDT Tuesday, September 22 • 6:00 PM MDT Tuesday, September 22 • 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday, September 22 • 8:00 PM EDTWhat a reversed card is actually saying, and how to figure out which interpretation fits.
You'll learn how to:
- Read a reversal as a simple opposite so you can add nuance without overcomplicating the reading
- Recognise when a reversal points to blocked or internalised energy so you can open up a deeper conversation with a querent
- Apply Mary K. Greer's retrograde technique so you can add a re-reading to any reversed card
- Use reversals to identify shadow work themes so you can offer a more layered reading when the situation calls for it
- Decide which reversal interpretation to use so you can stop second-guessing yourself mid-reading
Week 4: Elemental Dignities
Tuesday, September 29 • 5:00 PM PDT Tuesday, September 29 • 6:00 PM MDT Tuesday, September 29 • 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday, September 29 • 8:00 PM EDTHow the elements interact across a spread, and what that interaction changes.
You'll learn how to:
- Identify which elements support each other and which work against each other so you can read the energy between cards
- Use elemental combinations to assess whether a situation is strengthening or weakening so you can give more accurate readings
- Apply elemental dignities to a horseshoe spread so you can add a layer of analysis to a full reading
- Read elemental combinations as weather patterns to figure out the overall feel of a spread quickly
- Use elemental dignities as an alternative to reversals to add depth without increasing complexity
Addressing Your Quiet Concerns
"What if I pull a card mid-reading and just go completely blank?"
That fear is real, and it comes up constantly at this stage. This course gives you multiple ways into any card, so you always have somewhere to start. When you know what the number is saying, what the suit is saying, and what the image is showing you, one of those will always catch. You will no longer rely on a single point of entry.
"I'm worried that adding more technique will make my readings feel mechanical."
This is worth taking seriously because it does happen with the wrong kind of teaching. Theresa does not teach these techniques as things to memorise. She teaches them as things to see. Most students find that once they can read the layers, their mind stops grinding and their intuition has room to work.
"I'm already overwhelmed. What if this just adds to that?"
The course is built to go at a pace that lets things land. Theresa's approach is to give you enough to work with without burying you. Each technique is taught on its own before you combine it with anything else. You will add one layer at a time.
"I can read with the guidebook. Reading without it terrifies me."
That is an honest place to be. Reading without a book feels exposing at first. It can feel like you have no foundation to stand on. The point of this course is to build the internal system that replaces the book. By the end, you will have enough to work from that the guidebook stops feeling necessary.

Her teaching style is practical and direct. She does not wrap things in spiritual jargon or make you feel like you need a special gift to read well. She breaks each technique down into pieces that actually click, and she moves at a pace that gives you enough to work with without burying you.
Students describe her as the kick-ass older cousin who knows everything about tarot and has no interest in gatekeeping it. If you want a teacher who is straight with you and knows her material completely, you are in the right place.
Your Cards Are Ready When You Are.
You do not need a perfect memory. You do not need to have every meaning locked down before you show up.
You just need your deck, a willingness to look closer, and four weeks.
The symbolic language of tarot has been in your cards the whole time. The numbers, the suits, the elements, the images. All of it carries information that a keyword-based reading misses.
Most people who learn tarot stay stuck at that level. They keep reaching for the guidebook, card by card, wondering why the reading never quite lands.
You can keep doing that. Or you can spend four weeks learning to read the whole picture.
