The Elemental Wheel of Descent

During our time together, we will chart the elements on a wheel by direction: North (earth and body), East (air and beliefs), South (fire and passion), and West (water and emotion). After we create a baseline wheel of all the properties of each element by direction, we’ll move on to creating a second, individual wheel to prepare for the sacred descent inward for the dark season, honoring what each direction asks of us. We’ll put your intentions for the season ahead into motion with a closing ritual and journey, carrying this wheel with you as a guide through the winter months.”

Materials needed:

A journal and pen for the elemental overview, plus two sheets of paper with a circle drawn on each (about the size of a dinner plate). Thicker paper such as card stock or construction paper works well for the two circles.

During these times, we need rituals more than ever.

This session will bring practical magic to your fingertips and lay the groundwork for accessible practices using what you already have around you.

Wendy Dooner · Workshop
Rowan, Folk Charms and the Green Realm

In this experiential workshop, you’ll learn to work with plants as conscious allies in your magical practice, beginning with rowan, a deeply protective and sacred tree of Scottish folk magic.

We’ll explore rowan’s Celtic folklore and medicine, and you’ll learn to craft a traditional rowan charm with berries and red thread for protection. You’ll undertake a guided plant spirit journey to the spirit of rowan, a repeatable practice for meeting plant spirits in the Green Realm. You’ll also learn how to prepare for a journey, ask a plant’s permission, and troubleshoot the common issues that arise when you’re new to journeying. You’ll discover how working with plant spirits can transform your magical practice, and leave with rowan as a sacred, protective ally by your side.

Materials needed:

Pen and paper or a journal.

A blanket and somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down.

Optional: fresh rowan berries (how many you have will determine the size of your charm; there is no exact number required) or small rowan twigs (enough to gently bend into a small circle the size of a large bracelet) and a length of red thread, if you’d like to make your charm along with the live demonstration.

HeatherAsh Amara · Workshop
Warrior Goddess Witch: Manifestation, Protection, and Healing Spells

Using the elements, we’ll explore spells for creating, releasing, and grounding. You’ll learn when to cast a spell, why, and when not to. We’ll work with simple things you likely already have to hand: a candle, a couple of herbs, a flower, a jar. Everything you learn here is something you can repeat at home without buying anything special. Together we’ll cover incense, candle, jar, oil, and herbal spells, and what each one is best suited to. You’ll also learn the difference between warrior spells and goddess spells, and how to choose between them depending on what you are facing. You’ll leave with a complete understanding of how to craft each type of spell, and a PDF to guide you as you practice on your own.

Materials needed:

A notebook, pen, and an open mind.

Unmasking the Witch Within

The label ‘witch’ was once used to shame other women who were seen as different: those who felt deeply, noticed what others missed, challenged the status quo, or refused to conform. Today we may recognize many of these experiences through the lens of neurodivergence, sensitivity, and intuition. This experiential session explores the crossover between neurodivergence and the witch identity, inviting us to reclaim the Witch as a symbol of wisdom, difference, and self-trust. Through reflection, discussion, and a tarot practice, you’ll explore the parts of yourself you have masked, reconnect with your inner knowing, and consider how your differences may be your greatest source of guidance.”

Materials needed:

Witchcraft for Living a Life You Love

Why has witchcraft survived for so long? Because, despite rumors to the contrary, witchcraft is, indeed, intended for personal gain. It exists to help you attain your goals and dreams. Witchcraft’s purpose is to enable the spellcaster to achieve safety, security, prosperity, and happiness – in short, to paraphrase the great blues master Muddy Waters, to live a life you love and love the life you live.

Join Judika Illes, author of Encyclopedia of 5,000 Spells, to explore how witchcraft can help you live your best life. This is a practical class. Judika will share her own experiences, as well as providing spells, rituals, and visualizations to help you gain mastery over your life’s direction.
