                Firewalk FAQs

Am I required to walk on hot coals?

No. You are welcome to join us at the fire and witness those who choose to walk. Even as an observer, this experience can be powerful. We ask that you listen to your heart and only walk if you feel called to do so. There are alternative workshops going on simultaneously if you would prefer to do something other than the firewalk.

Will I burn my feet?

As with all forces of nature, a firewalk carries an element of risk. HeatherAsh Amara has taught and led the ancient practice of firewalking for over twenty years. She teaches proper methods and safe handling of this powerful element. Following her instructions, burns are very rare and never cause serious injury.

What are the benefits of firewalking?

When you walk safely across 1,100+ degree coals, you face and conquer what your mind tells you is impossible. Most people report dramatic shifts in their personal power to rise above major real-life challenges.

What health and safety precautions are in place?

HeatherAsh Amara is trained through Sundoor International and follows a strict firewalk protocol. Experienced staff and volunteers manage the fire and support those who walk.

Are children allowed at the firewalk?

You must be 18 years or older to participate.

What if weather prevents the firewalk?

Firewalks are always contingent upon weather. Rain and extreme drought conditions occasionally prevent them from happening. When this occurs we do an indoor activity, arrow breaking, instead.
